Description
Detailed large format antique map of Cannes, France, on the famous Cote d'Azur, issued circa 1890, in part to attract British buyers to the region.
The map is centered on Cannes proper; it extends east to Pointe Croisette and Golfe-Juan, and west to what is now the Residence La Palme d'Azur Cannes Verrerie.
The map also features an absolutely colossal key of important landmarks and buildings.
This is certainly one of the best 19th-century maps for Cannes, which is difficult to find good maps for in general.
Condition Description
Dissected in three horizontal sections and mounted on original linen. Somewhat toned. Minor loss to the upper blank margin.
