This view is a rare variant of William Henry Bartlett's view of modern Jerusalem, published by an unknown publisher, likely in London in the middle of the 19th century. The text at the bottom of the map includes a quote from Psalm 147.

Very attractively colored antique Jansson map of the Holy Land, showing the lands pertaining to the tribes of Simon, Daniel, and Judah. Usually considered the last in the series of plates made for a wall map of the holy land, this panel is mountainous and shows southern Palestine. The map also identifies the lands of the Philistines and timberlands rich in cedar.
