Pictorial Southern California -- A Pic-Tour Map of Southern California

Scarce pictorial map of Southern California, published by A Mirro-Krome Production and Drawn by famed pictorial artist Don Bloodgood.

Bloodgood's pictorial map of Southern California (with Coastal San Diego County on the verso), shows the coast from Santa Barbara to San Clemente and extending to Mt. Baldy and Claremont. The map captures everything from Movie Location Ranches in the San Fernando Valley and the Malibu Beach Movie Colony to a bustling downtown Los Angeles area and the booming oil fields of Puente and [Pico] Rivera, just a few miles from the newly minted Disneyland and its neighbor Knotts Berry Farm (still really just a farm!).

Avocados and a cattle ranch at the bottom right and more oil at the top near Fillmore.

Bloodgood drew a number of whimsical pictorial maps, one of the earliest being his map of San Diego, prepared for the California Pacific Exposition in 1935.
