Description
An exceptionally rare map of California as an island, which apparently appeared in a Hungarian geography in the mid-18th Century. The engraving style is charmingly primitive. Not in McLaughlin. We have only been able to locate one other known copy (in the private collection of Glen McLaughlin, acquired after publication of his book). A true rarity.
