Clement Mok (born 1958) graduated from ArtCenter’s Graphic Design program and began his career holding design positions at CBS and the design agency Donovan/Green.

Mok began working with Apple Inc. in the early 1980s, where he served as the creative director. At Apple, he played a pivotal role in launching the Macintosh computer and spearheading the desktop publishing revolution, bridging the gap between emerging technologies and the design community.

After his tenure at Apple, Mok founded several influential design-related businesses, including Studio Archetype, which was acquired by Sapient in 1998, CMCD, and NetObjects, Inc.  From 1998 to 2001, Mok served as the Chief Creative Officer of Sapient, further solidifying his reputation for innovation and leadership. He also served as the national president of AIGA, where he advocated for the integration of design and technology.

Mok's  is a founding and active partner of several acclaimed restaurants, including Sugarfish, KazuNori, Nozawa Bar, and HiHo! Burgers, and Lasting Learning. 

His contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous awards and citations from professional organizations and publications, including being named one of I.D.’s 40 most influential designers and one of Chief Executive’s 1998 Tech 100 CEOs.

As an author, Mok wrote Designing Business: Multiple Media, Multiple Disciplines, a seminal work that outlines his design philosophy and approach to integrating technological design in business. He has also launched several educational iPhone and iPad apps for children under the CMCD Visual Symbols banner, including Critteroos, Match-A-Roo, Flashcount, and Signing Bee.

Mok was a 2008 AIGA Medalist and 2013 AIGA SF Fellow, and serves on the executive committee of the AIGA SF Board.
