Description
Very rare map of the Holy Land, oriented to the West, published by Jacques Lagnet in Paris.
The map extends from Sidon to Rhinocorura, noting the Tribes of Israel. Includes a small inset map showing the 42 years of Exodus and another map of the region, including Cyrpus. The center illustration shows the encampment of the 12 Tribes around the Tabernacle, with images of Moses and Aaron.
