The image shows one surviving ship, with several others sinking nearby. Several survivors stand on a distant island, while, closer to the viewer, a lone seaman rows his lifeboat.

The image appears to be signed "YCD," but it may also represent "YD," "YS," or "YF."

Condition Description
Mounted on card. Minor tears to lower right portion of the card and sheet, not affecting image. Trimmed unevenly to paper on the left.
