Description
Fine mezzotint portrait of the famed Augsburt mapmaker Matthaus Seutter.
The work is signed by Matthaeus Deisch (1724 – 1789), and Augsburg born engraver who worked in Augsburg and later in Danzig.
As Deisch is known to have left Augsburg permanently by 1749, we assume the engraving was done early in his career.
