Golden Age Pictorial Map of Washington.

Rare pictorial map of the state of Washington, published by local illustrator Byron MacPherson.

The work lauds the many accomplishments of the forty-second state. The map shows the many activities available in the state, with pictorial depictions of the National Parks, wheat belt, National Forests, and cities. Additional insets show views of places of natural beauty.

The verso shows an exploration map of the state, a list of prominent Washingtonians, and a timeline of the state. The final date on the timeline is 1939, giving the map an approximate date consistent with the period of activity of MacPherson.

Condition Description

Toning to the top half of the sheet. Minor tear at top. Printed on both sides.
