Calcutta Imprint!
Interesting, late-Raj Surveyor General of India map of northern Maharashtra, just to the northeast of Nashik.
The map shows the region in fine detail, displaying many rivers, towns, settlements, mountains, and more in this mostly flat region. The map centers on the town of Malegaon.
This area was surveyed by Brigadier R. H. Thomas. It includes an interesting note on the Marathi language, noting overlapping vowel and consonant sounds.
Condition Description
Toning. Minor fold toning and wear. Some loss around intersecting folds and other weak points.
