The main cartographic features of the map are a massive Bay of the West and unusual Alaskan conjectural archipelago, partial New Zealand and unsual projection of Australia. No sign of the Antarctic continent. A marvelous decorative world map from the first edition of Janvier's Atlas Moderne.
