Important early railroad survey map, showing the route of one of the first railroads in the deep South, from the report by Major James Duncan Graham.

An early and notable railroad map of parts of southern Alabama and Western Florida showing considerable detail. Graham illustrates the route of the railroad from Pensacola to Montezuma and on to Columbus. Also details the proposed road from Appalachicola to Maarrianna. Shows numerous wagon roads and names numerous towns and forts. The results of early township surveys are present, having been surveyed some 15 years earlier under the direction of Thomas Freeman.
