Description

Rare late 19th Century German board game, showing the relations between the Indians and settlers on the American Frontier.

Some of the more interesting views include an Indian sitting (talking?) with a bear, and Indian in the river with camoflage on his head, and a curious looking soldier in the lower right corner.

Board games such as this were popular in Germany at the end of the19th Century. The Germans also had (and still have) a great fascination with the American Frontier. The cultural mix of the characters is especially striking, with an interesting mix of American, Indian and European style clothing.

This is the first time we have ever seen this board game.
