Description
Delightful map of the Southwest which accompanied the rare German edition of Beadle's American Lawyer and Business-Man's Form Book which includes a description of California and its homestead and mechanics lien laws on the verso. Oregon is still the only Territory west of the Rockies and above California. The Gold Region is well noted in California, although Southern California and the rest of the Southwest remains sparse. The map shows forts, Indians, rivers, mountains, towns, etc.
