This wonderful pair of pictorial maps on one sheet, created by Gus Schneider, details the layout of Bohemian Grove, depicting roads, trails, figures, club structures, campgrounds, and recreational activities.

Established in 1872, the Bohemian Club, a San Francisco-based men's fine arts club, owns this private campground in Sonoma County.

The Bohemian Club, throughout its history, has been a congregation point for individuals involved in arts and culture. Bohemian Grove, as their retreat, holds significance in American cultural history, particularly for its exclusive and private nature. Schneider's cartograph reflects the social dynamics within this exclusive society.

Condition Description

On verso: glue stains, pencil note "Bohemian Club 0-1304", rubberstamped date "JUN 18, 1952", and ink notation "Films for this map are on hand. 8/11/65, per original library."
