Rare decorative plan of Venice.On design of engineer Alvise Grandis and the recording of Antonio Sandi. The 1799 edition of the map was dedicated to Giampietro Grimani., however, this edition has the dedication removed. Several cherubs hold and ancient plan of the Lagoon aloft, while and explanation of how it was built in the middle of the Lagoon is illustrated in the lower left corner. Large compass rose and highly ornate detailed plan. A rare separately issued decorative plan of Venice.
