Rare early sea chart of the westernmost portion of the Baltic Sea, published in Amsterdam, by Anthonie Jacobsz.
The map covers the Baltic Sea from the Southern Swedish coast ( including Schoenen) to Calmer with the island of Oeland. The islands Meun, Bornholm, Rügen and the Southern tip of Gothland are shown.
In the south, the map covers the Pomeranian coastline from Stralsund to Rygshooft, with a nice depiction of the island of Rügen.
The map shows fine coastal detail, including names of towns and villages along the coastlines, anchorages, islands and sandbanks with marked depths.
