See the United States By Bus
A travel brochure issued by the Continental Trailways Company advertising their bus routes through America. The brochure features a map of the United States illustrated with Continental Trailway's many bus routes and affiliated lines that aid travel from major metropolitan areas. One of these routes appears to be annotated in red pencil, with tourist locations like the Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns circled as well as what appears to be stops on the route in Flagstaff, Denver, El Paso, and San Antonio to name a few. These annotations suggest a contemporary use of this pamphlet by someone traveling on the Continental Trailways Bus System.
Around the map are photographs of locations people can visit using Continental Trailways to get there. Some popular locations include Yosemite, Chicago, the Empire State Building, and Tennessee's Smoky Mountains. An attractive map that fills one with a sense of wanderlust and desire to see the many offerings of America.
