Description

Leipzing-published atlas showing German economic interests as they stood in 1938, immediately prior to the Second World War.

Across the 60-some pages in this atlas, maps show Germany's major producing regions, its trading partners, its colonies, as well as population statistics in Central and Eastern Europe. Given the timing context of this atlas, immediately prior to the European outbreak of the Second World War, it represents the transactional nature of German economic policy and its desire to expand its power and grasp over the rest of Europe.

This atlas was published in 1938 in Germany by Velhagen and Klasing, and compiled by Dr. Alfred Thoran.
