Interesting 1950s poster combining a series of facsimile 17th- and 18th-century maps with modern maps of the world and continents, intended for household decoration.
The maps provided in facsimile include the Homann map of the Americas and a Covens and Mortier double-hemisphere map of the world. Twelve modern maps also appear. An unusual depiction of Atlas carrying an azimuthal projection world map.
On the world map, Korea is not divided. India is shown as independent and separated from Pakistan. France retains most of its African possessions, including Madagascar.
