Rare map of the southern tip of Africa, extending north to the Tropic of Capricorn. Includes a nice birdseye view of Cabo de Bona Esperanca, based on the late 17th Century Sea Charts by Seller and others with a more detailed example of the view. Includes part of Madagascar. Two compass roses and an isnet of De Bay Van A. de S. Bras, with anchorages. Marvelous primitive map. First time we have encountered the map.
