Fine original map of the Holy Land, published in Naples and showing the realms claimed by each of the Twelve Tribes.
Published in the late 18th century by Fran Sesone, the map shows geographical details, including mountains, rivers, lakes, and more.
The side of the map shows empty coats of arms. These would have been left blank so that later sponsors of the book could pay to have their coats of arms added.
This edition of Sesone's map shows a more rudimentary engraving style than another, very similar map, also attributed to him.
