These Coast and Geodetic topographical survey maps are almost unparalleled in their detail, depicting individual houses and blocks throughout the entirety of Long Island.
All of the maps bear the ink stamp of August R. Ohman "Map Publisher & Engraver, 97-101 Warren St., New York."

Folio. Contemporary ½ calf over red cloth, with gilt-lettered leather title piece onlaid to front cover. (Worn. Corners and spine worn and chipping.) 17 color lithographed Topographical Survey sheets (as called for in the key map mounted to the front pastedown.) (Maps mounted on contemporary linen. Toning and dampstaining. Some maps with small amounts of text trimmed at the bottom.)
