Description
Dutch version of Mitchell's map of North America, which first appeared in Isaak Tirion's Hedendaagsche Historie, of Tegenwoordige Staat van Groot Brittannie. Tweede Deels eerste Stuk, published in Amsterdam in 1755.
The map faithfully reproduces Mitchell's map on a reduced sake, including the colonial boundaries, stretching to the Mississippi River and beyond, with several interesting annotations.
The map was re-issued in 1769 in Tirion's Nieuwe en Beknopte Hand-Atlas.
