Rare pictorial tourist map of South Africa, published in Johannesburg.
The map is surrounded by vignettes showing historic places, wildlife, native tribes, agricultural & mineral distribution, fishing areas, farms, and portraits of notable figures. The map road is shaded to show topography and shows roads, railways, cities, and towns.
At the top left is an inset view "Cape Town & Table Mountain".
Overall a very successful, attractive pictorial map of the region.
Rarity
The map is very rare. This is the first example we have seen on the market.

Very faint toning in the upper quadrant of the map.
