Description

Evocative anti-nuclear poster from the '70s suggesting that the only jobs that would benefit from increased investment in nuclear technology would be those of coffin makers. The poster shows a line of coffins extending outwards from a nuclear power plant.

The image originally appeared on the cover of issue 49 of La Gueule Ouverte, which was published by the pacifist journalist Pierre Fournier, who later worked for Charlie Hebdo. The journal was important for promoting ecological ideals to a francophone audience.
