Fantastic original antique woodblock print depicting the night sky focused on the constellation of Gemini, the twins. The chart also shows the constellations of Monoceros (the unicorn), Canis Minor, Orion, and Hydra.

In Pan Indo-European culture, Gemini formed part of the larger myth of the Divine Horse Twins in Pan Indo-European culture. These youthful horsemen appear repeatedly throughout European and Asian myth. In Greek tradition, they joined the Argonauts and later helped rescue Helen. The constellation supposedly represented the immortality Pollux shared with his mortal half-twin Castor.

This map was originally published in London, in 1832, in William Pinnock's The Guide To Knowledge. The chart was engraved by Joshua Archer and Sidney Hall.
