Description
Detailed vintage folding street map of Atlanta, Georgia, published by Gilmore's Map Company in 1947.
The map covers Atlanta's downtown and stretches north to Buckhead and Peachtree Heights. The map features an inset of the Atlanta Downtown, as well as one covering East Point, College Park, and Hapeville.
This is one of a number of editions of the map that were made, tracking Atlanta's urban and suburban growth in the middle of the 20th century.
Separate maps of Atlanta, even from as late as the 1940s, are quite scarce.
