Beautiful original vintage travel poster promoting Los Angeles and Southern California as a travel destination for TWA.

The poster art was done by Bob Harmer Smith in circa 1948. It shows a Constellation flying over the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, California. It is interesting that Smith chose a landmark in San Diego County to promote travel to Los Angeles, but the effect is appropriate and created a classic Southern California image.

Undoubtedly one of the best of the Midcentury Southern California travel posters.
