Description
Scarce early New Orleans Guide book and map, published in New Orleans by James Zacharie.
We note that the guide was published as early as 1885.
James S. Zacharie (1844–1906), was a prominent writer and a native of New Orleans. He was a member of the City Council and the Historical Society, and his joint efforts with artist William Woodward led, shortly after his death, to the establishment of the Louisiana State Museum.
Condition Description
Front wrap cover lacking. Intermittent soiling. Map with some soiling, detached.
