Description
Attractive antique engraved view of Quebec during the French and Indian War, published in London around 1764.
The view is evidently from Fenning and Collyer's A New System of Geography and was engraved by Rooker, who signed it in the lower right. This is probably Edward Rooker Senior, a London engraver who lived from 1724 to 1775.
This view was published throughout the second half of the 18th century in a number of iterations of the same title, but with slightly different compositions and different engravers.
