Great vintage pictorial map by Andy Dagosta covering the American West, specifically focusing on the historical romance of ghost towns, old mines, military posts, lost mines, and Spanish missions.
Dagosta made maps like this, usually of Western subjects, in the 1960s. We had his map of California in 2015.
The map itself is surrounded by images of men being hanged and tortured by Indians, a Sharps 1840s rifle, cowboys, and wagon trains.
The map was published by Cooper Enterprises of Scottsdale.
The map covers California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
