Description

Vintage World War II-era map of the Middle East, with a large inset of "Modern Palestine" and "Modern Jerusalem".

"Kuweit (BR)" is shown. Qatar and the United Arab Emirates are shown as part of Oman, with local cities named (or misnamed as the case may be). Yemen is a small corner of the peninsula, with most of the southern coastline taken up by Hadramaut.

Furthermore, there is an inset of the World on Mercator's Projection, with shaded areas representing the extent of the British Empire in 1940.

On the back is a map of Europe titled "The Theatre of War".
