Scarce map of Vancouver, promoting David Spencer LImited, promoting David Spencer Limited.  On the verso is an excellent birdseye view of Vancouver, extending to the Mountains to the north.

The primary map provides a detailed street map of Vancouver bounded by the Fraser River and Brunaby, with concentric circles radiating outward from the location of the David Spence Department Store on the west end of Vancouver in 1 mile increments.

To the north, Stanley Park is laid out, including a Bridle Path and trails.  The Vancouver Rowing Club, Vancouver Yacht Club, Coal Harbor, Arena and Boweing Terminals are also noted, as is the waterfront wharves and rail controlled by the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Further east on the waterfront, the "V.H.S. (Old Hastings Mill) is shown, a snapshot of Vancouver's oldest building, constructied in 1865.  A number of Ferry landings are noted, along with their destinations, as are shipping lines to Australia, China, Japan and Seattle, etc.  Many other terminals and waterfront businesses are named

With the town, Hastings Park and Hastings Townsite are noted, with the terminus of hte Canadian Pacific Railway just to the west.  At the western tip, the University of British Columbia and its endowed lands are are shown, with an Indian Reserve further south.
