Interesting map of the Southern Part of the American Colonies, from a scarce Italian Edition of La Rochefoucault-Liancourt's Travels in theUnited States, one of the most popular travel guides of the period. An Early Tennassee is shown, as is Giorgia, extending to the Mississippi River. Kentucky appears, as does the strip of US Governmetn Lands. Excellent detail throughout, including early counties, towns, roads, court houses, mountains, rivers, etc. A nice wide margined example of this scarce map.
