Description
Scarce map of North Korea and part of Manchuria, published in May 1904.
The map extends to just south of Seoul, with Phyngyang (Pyongyang) clearly shown.
An inset map shows the railroad from St. Petersburg to east coast of Chinese Empire. The map illustrates waterways, railroads (including under construction), main and minor roads, Korea-Manchuria boundary. At the bottom left is an annotation, "For private circulation only."
The map was issued several months after the declaration of the Russo-Japanese War in February 1904.
