Description

Rare separately published map of Lake Geneva and environs, first published by Pietro de Cavilleri in Rome in 1589.

The present example is the second state, re-issued by Giacomo de Rossi circa 1660.

The map is oriented with east at the top, with dedication to Tommaso Tretero, "Canonico S. Mariae Transtyberim in Urbe, et Ser. Regis Poloniae secretario."

The surrounding places are also presented as small views.

Condition Description
Minor toning. Three tiny wormholes below title and two small worm top of the blank margin.
