Decorative, pictorial bird's eye view of Miami Beach, issued in Miami in 1990.
The map gives a perspective of South Beach, which, though only 30 years old, is barely recognizable. The view highlights many hotels, cafes, tour companies, and other tourist hotspots, most of which no longer exist.
A few paragraphs of descriptive text are set within a tropical cartouche in the lower right; they place the map within the historical context of the Miami revitalization campaign of the 1980s, which followed a declining period after the glamorous boom years of the 1940s-1960s.
An inset map shows Miami Beach relative to the rest of Miami.
