Apollo 10 Translunar Chart Signed By Tom Stafford
Plotting chart illustrating the path of Apollo 10 to the moon and back, signed by Tom Stafford, with the inscription "A Road Map To The Moon!"
The map shows a polar view of earth at center and displays the path of the moon around the earth for the time period of that launch with a schedule of major flights events.
The Note at the bottom explains that the map illustrates the profile of the lunar mission for May 18, 1969, illustrating the path for 5 different launch days in May and 5 different launch days in June, 1969, with an explanation that the dates target future Apollo landing sites and that mid-course corrections may be performed to correct the trajectory of the approach to the moon to allow the correct lunar orbit and later to correct for a proper re-entry to earth's atmosphere.
At the right, statistical information for the mission is given.
