Description
A Rare Birdseye View Map of the Great Plains to the Rocky Mountains
An exceptionally rare promotional pamphlet for the Union Pacific Railroad, which includes a birdseye view style of map of parts of Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa.
The map extends from the Missouri River in the East to the Rocky Mountains in the west, tracking the Platte River and Kansas Rivers, with Cheyenne and Denver at the far western extremity.
The railroad lines of the Union Pacific are shown in red.
Rarity
The map is extremely rare. We locate only the example in the Bancroft Library.
Condition Description
Minor fold splits and one repaired tear.
