Decorative map of North America issued shortly before the start of the American Revolution.
The map shows the British Colonies in North America extending to the Mississippi RIver. The area west of the Great Lakes is "Parts Undiscovered."
Along the West Coast of North America, the Sea of the West and River of the West have now disappeared, with the western part of the continent how filled with mountains west of the North River (Rio Grande). New Albion, still appears, as does the Harbor where Sir Francis Drake landed, however the the apocryphal discoveries of Juan de La Fuca and Martin Augilar have been removed and the region is now simply labeled "Suppsed Straits of Annian."
No sign of James Cook's discoveries along the Northwest Coast of America are shown, but the make clearly has been given reason to modify the prevailing regional cartography.
