Harrison Godwin's Rare Map of Hollywood

Harrison Godwin's rare and sought after map of Hollywood, published by his brother, Fred Godwin for the Hollywood Athletic Club in 1928.

The map is filled with Hollywood's history, portaits of early movie stars, and vignettes describing Hollywood during the roaring 20s.

Harrison Godwin owned Carmel's La Playa Hotel with his brother, Fred, and after being bought out by him went on to buy the now-famous The Pine Inn. The two are attributed to putting Carmel "on the map".

The map is very rare on the market. This is the first example we have seen in a number of years.

Condition Description
Archivally backed. Evidence of two old folds, with a tiny repair at the center.
