Lively poster map promoting the Annual Black Hills Round Up for 1937.

The poster includes a regional map showing in caricature format the various roads throughout western South Dakota, leading to Belle Fourche, along with a remarkable depiction of the Rodeo and Fair Grounds.

Our research has found references to Frank Dier as a "local cartoonist" in Rapid City.

The map is very rare--this being the only example we have ever seen. We know of one other Dier Map: /gallery/detail/52069
