Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Scarce early coast to coast map of the United States, published in Boston by Annin & Smith.

The West is dominated by the Plains of Nuestra Senora and Luz along with a marvelous and unusual version of Lake Timpanagos.

California is New Albion. A number of early Indian tribes are shown, some strange (Red Indians, Plume Indians, Acluou Indians and Blue Indians) and some recognizable names (Black Foot Indians, Snake indians).

Many early western forts are shown.

The strange extension of Illinois is shown, which pushes Illinois to the west, but keeps Chicago (not named) on Lake Michigan.

Many other unusual anomalies.

This work by Guillaume-Tell Poussin is of particular Southern interest, as it contains plans of projects in Florida and the Gulf Coast. Rumsey (2329) says of the work: "Exceptionally well done maps that show the ambitious public works projects of the time."
