Second edition of D'Orbigny's rare geological map of Bolivia, first published in Paris in 1839, with a third edition also issued in 1843.
Provides a remarkably detailed treatment of Bolivia, being the first scientific map of the country to focus on its geology.
The map is based upon D'Orbigny's expeditions in the region between 1830 and 1833 and was published to accompany his Voyage dans l'Amerique Meridionale, published in Paris between 1835 and 1847.
