Flawless unfolded example of the Depot de la Marine's charting of Amelia Island and Vicinity, showing the Harbor, Amelia, Cumberland and Tiger Islands, mouth of the St. Mary and Nassau Rivers a profile of the entrance of the St. Mary River and a host of other interesting details. The top map is based upon the surveys of De Brahm and Jacob Blamey, and shows Fort Cumberland and about a dozen place names, plus soundings. The primary map shows a number of Plantations, including the Woodland Plantation, Bell Plantation, Ralph Plantation, Wright Plantation, Fort William and the Plantations of Cesse Douariere d'Egemont. There are also indications of a battle on Tiger Island, soundings, and many other details. The map is based upon the map of Jacob Blamey. A scarce separately issued revolutionary war chart, which may have been bound into a massive elephant folio atlas.
