Description

Fascinating campaign promotional map of Fresno County, promoting the candidacy of Scott McKay for re-election as Surveyor of Fresno County, California.

In the top left is a more traditional Statitstical table providing facts on the county, including size, assessed values, railroad and census details, road and canal information.

McKay served as Deputy Surveyor of Fresno County, before being elected Surveyor on the Republican Ticket in 1902. He held the position until he died in 1918, overseeing the construction of many of the scenic roads into Sierra Foothills of Fresno County.
