Worker's Caution Poster for the East African Railways and Harbours Corporation, warning its employees to stay together to avoid danger.

We date the map to approximately the the first few years of the East African Railways and Harbours Corporation.

The original Uganda Railway was transformed into the East African Railways and Harbours Corporation (EARC) after World War I. The EARC managed the railways of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanganyika until the collapse of the East African Community in 1977.

This mezzotint, titled Africanische Jagt, created circa 1740 by George Philipp Rugendas in Augsburg, strikingly portrays the intensity of an elephant hunt in Africa. The scene vividly captures an elephant, besieged by multiple hunters, grappling with two of them in the foreground with its trunk while others continue their assault with arrows and spears from the flanks.
