Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Rare celestial chart engraved by I. A. Friedrich after Johan Melchoir Fuesselinus, which appeared in Physique Sacree, ou Histoire Naturelle de la Bible, translated by Jean-Jacques Scheuchzer.

This dramatic chart is centered on the planetary system, with Earth and other planets orbiting around the sun. Around this concept are classically drawn figures representing the signs of the zodiac. Other astronomical theories are demonstrated in the corners. At top left is a diagram depicting the rotation of the sun and other planets around Earth. At lower right is a comparison of the planets' relative sizes.
