Description

Scarce map of the Southeastern United States, based upon a map originally published in La Rouchefoucalt-Liancourt's Voyage dans les Etats-Unis ....

The map includes many roads, towns, counties, court houses and similar details. Georgia extends to the Mississippi River. A thin strip of land below Tennessee is shown as the Territory of the United States.

The present version of the map, with modified title from the original and engraved from a different plate, appeared in the French edition of Histoire de la Guerre de L'independence des Etats-Unis, by Carlo Bottra, published in Paris in 1812.
